Once upon a time ... a small satellite was thrust into the heavens ...
In 2028 that same, small, unassuming satellite will have been in earth orbit for 70 years. A group of engineers, designers, and believers have come together to bring Vanguard 1 home. Back to Earth, and back to the United States of America.
By using cutting-edge manufacturing and design technology, SINGULARORBIT will create a new de-orbital model that will be in demand around the world.
How do we know we can do it? Because we believe we can, and someone always has to be first!.
Step 01 - Determine if or not Vanguard is salvageable or not. We must also determine it's overall condition.
Vanguard 1 is in a fairly stable orbit currently, but its condition overall is unknown.
STEP 02 - Create a strategy and system to safely return it home. The strategy will make all the difference.
It's never been done. Capturing a satellite this old without human intervention.
STEP 03 - Accept that the future has just been changed, and we can now recover satellites.
Vanguard 1 will be on public display for people of all ages to see and understand it's journey - which is really our journey.
